Portfolio Credit Control are working with a London based Marketing firm looking to bring on a Credit Controller into a well-established finance team. The organisation has featured in both ‘Sunday time best companies to work for’ and ‘Tech Track 100’ for fastest growth within the Tech industry. The business has an excellent working culture and offer both hybrid and flexibility around working hours as well as the opportunity to study within Credit Control or Finance and progress internally.
You will be responsible for supporting the Credit Control function and helping maintain maximum cash collection whilst driving down debt and helping to minimise risk exposure and bad debt.
Responsibilities:
* Managing a ledger and international ledger of Blue-chip clients
* Manage and develop relationships with both internal and external clients
* Query resolution focused on Credit Control and the collections process
* Reconcile and post daily cash receipts including cheques, BACS, Direct Debits, and recurring cards charges
* Chase all overdue clients in a timely manner and in accordance with payment terms
* Send out reminder letters and statements on a regular basis
* Achieve cash, aged debt targets and call targets
* Allocate any cash coming into the business from a variety of clients
* Escalate non-payment issues or unresolved queries to the Accounts Receivable manager
* Issue Final Demand notices and preparing files for referral to outsourced Collection Agency
* Managing and reconciling the company credit cards- and assisting with the pay run as and when necessary
* Focus on driving down overdue debt and work on various projects
* Ensure credit cards are reconciled in line with the month end processes
Key Requirements:
* Excellent telephone and communication skills and must be confident and comfortable in a high number of calls and chasing debt
* Good working knowledge of Word and Excel and excellent eye for detail
* Some experience of purchase ledger/ap/reconciliations would be beneficial
* Resilient when speaking to difficult customers
* Enthusiastic and self-motivated
* Experience with Netsuite would be beneficial but not essential
