My client is a market-leading provider of Information Services and Solutions for professionals is Accounting, Audit, Tax, H&S and Business.

Job overview:

This is a role for someone who is confident with using Microsoft and other authoring technologies, has a flair for innovation and design and is keen to work in a fast-moving and market-leading online publishing environment.

Job purpose:

Working within the audit & accounting (A&A) content team, the development editor assists the in-house A&A writers and other editors in the preparation and creation of online tools, training modules and commentary, ensuring these can be processed efficiently through the company’s publishing systems.

Day to day responsibilities:

* Using a wide range of software to create/improve a range of online tools (Excel, eForms, mindmaps, interactive decision trees, calculators, etc)
* Use editing software to tag content in line with author/content manager instructions, ensuring that content can be processed correctly for online publication.
* Conversion of Excel/Word tools and templates to pdf, image redrawing and asset management.
* Excel tool formatting and editorial updates.
* Monitor quality of published content to ensure that it has published as expected.
* Check content for spelling, grammar and editorial errors, adhering to the company’s house style.
* Assist A&A content team with planning schedules and housekeeping tasks.
