1 Development of Health & Safety Management Systems: You’ll work closely with clients to develop comprehensive health and safety management systems tailored to their business operations. This includes drafting relevant policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.

1 Project Work and Collaboration: Alongside your day-to-day client interactions, you may also be involved in larger projects aimed at enhancing health and safety practices or developing new solutions. Collaboration with other consultants is essential to meet client expectations and achieve business objectives.

1 Compliance and Regulatory Knowledge: A deep understanding of Occupational Health and Safety legislation is imperative in this role. You’ll need to stay updated on relevant laws and regulations to ensure that clients remain compliant with legal requirements.

1 Education and Experience: A degree or diploma in a relevant field, coupled with a minimum of 5 years of experience in health and safety, is typically required for this role. Additionally, having or pursuing OHS designations demonstrates a commitment to professional development in the field.

Education/Experience

* A degree or diploma from an accredited college or university
* Having or pursuing OHS Designation (example: CRST, CRSP)
* Strong knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Legislation throughout Canada
* A strong background in developing and implementing comprehensive health and safety programs such as, but not limited to, training, auditing, evaluating process risks, safe work procedures program management and managed systems approach
* A minimum of 3-5 plus years of relevant work experience in health and safety

Desirable skills

* Multi-sector health and safety working experience
* Multi-provincial experience
* Your own vehicle or leasing a company vehicle with a company car allowance
