We are partnering with a global business services firm in London who are seeking an IT Category Manager who will be responsible for managing SLA’s and all contractual elements for IT with a focus on brining in new opportunities, innovation, and new ideas to the IT Management Team. The role will also be responsible for working with the wider IT function to understand and review current vendor management.
Day to day responsibility will include: –
Roles and responsibilities:
* Developing clear roles and responsibilities for IT stakeholders and IT Vendor Management
* Lead negotiation planning on several projects
* Ensure we have the latest insight into product quality and availability, allowing us to plan ahead
* Monitor supplier performance and drive change to ensure we hit our target
* Working with the IT Finance Manager and 3rd Party supply chain consultancy on IT Vendor spend
* Resolving any procurement queries and resolving supplier issues
* Negotiating pricing and cost savings
* Building and maintaining relationships with all key IT and non IT stakeholders
* Managing contract renewals
Experience required:
* 3 years minimum in IT Category/Vendor management
* Knowledge of the IT Industry including systems and products
* Influencing, negotiation skills essential
* Experience in sourcing chilled proteins, frozen or fresh ingredients
* Delivered commercial results with outstanding quality
* Launched successful new ranges
* A passion for interesting challenges and a desire to imagine and deliver a better way
