The Payroll and Benefits Officer is responsible for providing technical and operational support to the Payroll Manager. The role is responsible for processing monthly payrolls across various locations, benefits administration and data management. The role will provide support to employees, management, service providers and statutory bodies.

Job Responsibilities:


* Process UK and overseas payrolls to include input of data
* Process month end reporting
* Prepare monthly payroll journal
* Process various monthly reconciliations
* Arrange payroll sign-off
* Deal with queries from employees, managers, HMRC and third parties as required
* Calculate and process manual payments
* Raise payment requisitions for payroll deductions to statutory bodies and benefits providers
* Assist with expatriate administration and tax reconciliations
* Monthly Pension Auto Enrolment

Benefits Administration

* Maintain membership lists for employee benefits
* Support and liaise with benefits providers
* Assist with benefits benchmarking, analysis and reporting
* Review provider costs for best value
* Assist with annual benefits renewals
* Ad hoc project work as required.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

* Payroll systems literate
* SD Worx experience preferred but not essential
* Intermediate Excel and Word skills
* Good working knowledge of PAYE, income tax, national insurance, student loans and statutory payments (SMP, SPP, SSP ect)
* Good working knowledge of pensions auto-enrolment legislation
