Portfolio Payroll are currently working with our York based client to recruit into their growing Payroll team. This is an inhouse payroll working in an established team during an exciting period of growth. This is a great business with some fantastic benefits and provides financial support for accreditation As an inhouse payroll officer you will be producing end to end payroll and supporting the business in dealing with any queries relating to pay and benefits. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in an established business and team to process end to end payroll – predominantly on a monthly cycle.

Responsibilities:

* Processing payroll – gross to net on a monthly pay cycle
* Supporting colleagues with payroll queries, providing up to date accurate advice on UK Payroll legislation,
* Pension administration
* Providing first class customer service to the business and colleagues

The person:

* Experienced in the full end to end payroll process ideally on an inhouse payroll with high volumes
* Experience in providing payroll advice, and well versed in all aspects of UK payroll legislation
* A positive approach to working in a very busy payroll team
