Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join their team, duties include:
* Manage own workload, whilst working as a team to ensure that cover is provided at all times and priorities are identified with appropriate steps taken to meet conflicting demands
* A good understanding of Payroll and Pensions, ie SSP, SSP1, SPP, P45’s, Court Orders, ChildCare Vouchers, Manual Calculations, GAYE, Pensions LGPS, Teachers, NHS
* Demonstrate organisational skills, prioritise workloads. Promote, review, quality assure, and develop the service to meet the needs and demands of all the service users
* Working with other teams to ensure pensions administration is carried out on a timely basis and in line with current best practice
* To maintain confidentiality in line with the Data Protection Act and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) at all times
* To promote, review, quality assure, and develop the service to meet the needs and demands of all the service users.
* To provide interpretation and guidance on the operation and implementation of regulations and statutory requirements in relation to payroll provision and any other duties commensurate with the level of the post as may be agreed by your manager

* Ensure good communication with managers, staff and stakeholders, providing a high level of customer service and resolving queries efficiently and effectively so payments are accurate
