We are currently working with a large charity in the Derby area who are seeking an experienced Payroll Team Leader to oversee the payroll team of 5. This role will sit within the HR Shared Service Team.
Key duties will be hands on supervision of the team including delegating workload, training & development and dealing with complex and escalated payroll queries. This role will take responsibility for ensuring all payroll related administrative processes associated with the employee lifecycle (e.g. new starters, leavers, changes, sickness and family related absence, statutory deductions) are processed in a timely manner and will ensure the month end payroll is processed in an efficient and timely manner.
The client is seeking an individual that can add value to the payroll department and will be able to review processes and suggests areas for continuous improvement.
The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role and will be comfortable supervising a small team. High volume payroll experience is desirable.
This role will be temporarily remote with long term flexibility to work remotely a couple of days a week
