This is an amazing opportunity for an experienced procurement expert to join a global, market leading technology services organisation, who have a new Procurement Manager vacancy focusing on Technology and Professional Services spend some key clients, initially in a government based sector.

It is a unique opportunity for someone who has strong stakeholder management, working with a range of in house and external contacts to ensure a slick, efficient and cost effect delivery of services. Any previous consulting experience could be beneficial with this role who can advise stakeholders of improved supplier, strategy or contractual terms, using market knowledge as leverage. In order to succeed in this role and deliver benefits you will need a strategic mindset, but also keen in getting your hands dirty.

PLEASE NOTE – due to the nature of some clients you will engage with, you must be eligible to be SC Cleared!

Role and responsibilities:

* Work with stakeholders in the selected client to ensure procurement best practice
* Support them in reviewing, re-negotiating, or sourcing new suppliers for improved service
* Develop procurement strategy for longer term relationships and benefits
* Onboard new suppliers, ensuring business needs are met by the supplier
* Ensure clients current suppliers are adhering to SLA’s and commitments of contracts implemented
* Continuality approach relevant stakeholders in suggesting possible supplier or contract improvements
* Develop, improve and implement supplier relationship strategies
* Work with the existing procurement team for their advice and bounce ideas off each other
* Develop and lead any team members under responsibility

Experience and requirements:

* Ideally have had IT, Technology or/and Professional Services category experience
* Any BPO, Consultancy or outsourced procurement offering is beneficial
* Able to influence a range of stakeholders up to senior level
* Have the confidence to push back to the client when improvement opportunities identified
* Worked at a strategic procurement level, with a forward thinking mindset
* Be able to understand a business requirements and deliver in line with business needed
* Proven experience in delivering benefits with hard results whether costs, or service delivery improvement
* Worked in complex, regulated and multi-site organisations
* MCIPS or Degree educated desirable but not essential
