The Portfolio Group are delighted to be working with a leading IT Manufacture to recruit a Purchase Ledger Supervisor to join the team! This is a great opportunity to work for a market leader in their niche field and also a great opportunity to join an award winning business!
You will be responsible for managing the ledger for all companies within the Group.
Responsibilities
* Purchase ledger – Processing Invoices through paperless system and manually & make supplier payments
* Daily allocations of several banks
* Daily Bank reconciliations
* Supplier Statement Reconciliations & resolving queries
* Review & clearance of aged GRNI’s
* Manage purchase ledger assistant (s)
* Support roll out of paperless accounts payable system
* Develop use of systems to improve efficiency and accuracy of data processing
* Develop processes to improve effectiveness of department
* Posting of accounting Journals
* Reporting of Cost Data
* Other Ad-hoc Work as Required
* As the company culture promotes helping others, ad hoc tasks may be assigned to the job holder that are not listed above
Required Skills or Training
* Good Knowledge of End-to-End Accounts Payable Processes
* Knowledge of UK VAT rules
* Good Attention to detail
* Able to operate clear and systematic processes
* Previous experience in an Accounts Payable Role
* Able to supervise and motivate staff
* Verbal and written communication skills
* Organised with good Microsoft Office skills
* Good communicator both internally and externally
Desirable Skills or Training
* Accounting qualification or working towards one
* Wider Accounting knowledge
* Knowledge of Accounts Receivable/Credit Control
* Netsuite experience
