My client, a multinational civil and construction organisation, is looking for a senior commercial manager to manage all aspects of a healthcare project. You will be working for a company that is committed to limiting the environmental impact of their activities, and ensuring natural environments are protected.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the success of project objectives, effectively managing the commercial resources to maximise profit. You will manage a team, encouraging best practice and continuous improvement. This is a contract role expected to last 6 – 9 months. Duties will include:
* Early identification of risks throughout the project lifecycle from pre-contract to closeout
* Manage, reduce and eliminate unnecessary costs, maximising cashflow
* Ensure efficient procurement of materials and off site services in accordance with legal requirements and best practice
* Work closely with technical staff to develop techniques and solutions for the project, understanding key measures
The Ideal Candidate
Will be confident in building relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will have an in-depth understanding of insurance, contractual, insurance and legal processes relevant to contracts, and have a strong understanding of construction techniques, problems and solutions.
