An amazing, brand-new Procurement Manager role to join a hugely successful and marketing leading designer and supplier of luxury goods to the world’s leading hotel groups. They have a major presence in the hospitality industry working with the largest hotel brands, making them the company of choice for their global client base.
A range of products for rooms, bathrooms, Spa’s and food & beverage have been designed with the hotel guests in mind, using a variety of materials such as wood, stone, leather, glass, metal, resin and melamine.
Role and responsibilities:
* Supporting and reporting into the Head of Procurement as the team’s no. 2 member
* Support in designing, developing and implementing a procurement function into the business to be mandated
* Putting a strategic plan for the business and working with management to ensure it is implemented successfully
* Working with the internal design team, client and external suppliers on fulfilling client orders
* Establishing appropriate KPIs and working towards achieving them
* Identifying new suppliers and products where needed, or for bespoke projects
* Building new supplier relationships and managing existing suppliers
* Negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers
* Working with the commercial team to identify new products
Skills and experience:
* Retail, case goods or design and manufacture industries preferable
* Developing and managing a teams to ensure they are best value to the business
* Strong and confident negotiator, dealing with all levels of internal supplier
* Strategic mindset, building long term relationships, gaining best value
* ERP implementation would also be of advantage
* Degree or CIPS is preferable, not essential
