Portfolio Payroll are currently working with a well-established and friendly company that’s seeking a Payroll Administrator, to join their friendly team on a permanent basis.

Key responsibilities:

Preparing the payroll and associated duties including HMRC PAYE and Pension.

Reconciling and checking hours worked by employee against Clocking system.

Maintains payroll processing system and records by gathering, calculating, and inputting data

Process starters, leavers, SSP, SMP, Pension, amendments and salary calculations, transfers, NI and tax administration and deal with payroll queries

Checking all the paperwork for the new starter.

Answers staff questions about wages, deductions, attendance, and time records

Receives and coordinates requests for leave and other absences

Handles changes in exemptions, job status, and job titles

Identifies, investigates, and resolves discrepancies in timesheet and payroll records

Honours confidentiality of employees’ pay records

Completes payroll reports for record-keeping purposes or managerial review

The ideal candidate for the Payroll Assistant;

Sage payroll, Fourth Hospitality (not essential)

Microsoft Office Excel

Problem solving abilities and logical thinking

Having good communication skills to be able to deal with any queries

Having ability to work to strict deadlines

Excellent attention to detail

Respecting confidential information

System – Sage / Fourth Hospitality

Hours – 9:00 to 17:00
