We are partnered with an organisation in the education sector who are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Payroll & Pension Manager position to sit within their payroll team and take responsibility for the payroll function.
This role will see the Payroll Manager taking a hands-on approach with the team including training, developing and carrying our 1-1’s and appraisals. The Payroll Manager will assume responsibility for all aspects of in-house payroll and pension processing, as well as managing benefits.
Other duties will include ensuring ongoing compliance with RTI, monthly and year-end payroll ledger reconciliations, P11D returns, as well as project management and development of new payroll procedures and systems.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, this role will be temporarily remote, with a return back to the office upon lifting of restrictions. The office is in a great location, with extensive parking available and a short walk from the local train station.

In order to be considered for this role, you will be an experienced Payroll Manager/Supervisor with excellent payroll & pension knowledge as well as great people management skills. Experience within the public sector or higher education is highly desirable.
