Roles and responsibilities:
* Implement and define procurement strategies across all categories of spend
* Support engineers on regular programme manufacturing projects
* Able to fluctuate between longer term strategic projects and quicker, reactive projects
* Maintain a constant and accurate flow of materials in line with business needs
* Conduct complex and high value tenders, also maintaining relationships with key global suppliers
* Identify suppliers at short notice for really specific and bespoke parts
* Continuously analyse current supplier spend to make sure the business are receiving the best service, at the best cost
Experience required:
* Proven experience and achievements in engineering, materials, metals, components and technical sourcing
* Experience working in Aerospace, Defence or the Automotive industry
* Managed large, high value strategic projects within engineering commodities
* Achieved significant change or improvements within a procurement function
* Worked within a matrix, multi-site company
* Solid knowledge of all engineering and manufacturing supplier market
* Ideally degree & MCIPS educated
